Jerry Lynn is a distinguished artist who’s work draws deeply from his Southern roots, Black history and cultural identity. Botn in Memphis, Jerry’s art bridges the gap between past and present, capturing the beauty and strength of black figures through richly textured canvases. His unique style, often featuring layers of acrylic and spontaneous drips, has gained the attention of collectors, celebrities and art enthusiasts alike.
With over a decade of experience teaching art in Memphis and Dallas, Jerry has dedicated himself to inspiring the next generation while continuing to make waves in the art world. His work is featured in prestigious collections, including those of Stacey Abrams, Bob Johnson and Alonzo Mourning. His recent exhibitions, including the “Red Clay Survey” at the Huntsville Museum of Art highlight his talent and growing recognition.
